Nix Ski Customizer

  • The Maverick 106 is a shorter radius version of the Sentinal. It's a freeride ski that combines traditional camber underfoot with a spring-loaded, carbon-reinforced bamboo core. With a shorter radius and a more rounded tail than the Sentinal it is designed to be a bit more of a playful, easy turning ski. The 106mm waist with bamboo sidewalls gives the Maverick 106 impressive edge hold, while the huge 142mm shovels and Attack Rocker tips give tons of float when you are venturing off piste, no matter how soft the snow is.

Every single one of Nix Snowsport's Made To Measure Series skis are customized for you.

Taking each skiers height, weight, ability level and skiing style and inputting it into Nix’s design software, the Bamboo core of each pair of skis are then cut and profiled to the correct shape and thickness for each skier’s requirements.

After the core is cut the ski is then moved to the layup stage where the edges are attached and additional layers of materials such as Carbon Fiber, Fiberglass, Flax or other materials as required are added to further customize the ski. Before moving to the Press the topsheet is added along with the graphics. While some graphics have been pre-prepared for each model you also have the option to customize your ski by swapping to the graphics from one of the other models or you can even opt for custom graphics.

The whole layup is then put into the press for a few hours to form the ski into its final rocker / camber profile. The result is a product that is as individual as you are, perfectly tailored to fit, giving you the confidence to ride harder, climb higher and descend further.

Each pair of skis is hand made in London. This usually takes around 3-4 weeks until delivery and may be longer during busy periods.

      Graphics

We think one of the best features of the Nix custom skis is the ability to change the graphics. Nix have prepared some graphics for each model but if they don't float your boat you can select the graphics from one of the other models.

Why not push the boat out and get something really unique. For an extra £200 you can have custom graphics.

      Ski Bindings

Buy ski's and bindings together and get 10% off RRP on the bindings*. Discount is automatically applied at the checkout. *Excludes sale bindings.

Bindings are mounted for FREE, just add this item to your basket with your mounting details.

You can't ski without bindings. To a certain extent bindings are bindings and although there are some performance differences between them the biggest change is the materials. Cheaper bindings tend to be made with lots of plastic, where as more expensive ones have more metal in their construction. More metal makes the binding stronger, more durable and will last longer. If you change your ski's in the future you can then transfer the bindings to them, it's worth spending a little more on bindings if you can.

When selecting a binding choose a binding with a brake that is min 5mm wider than the waist of the ski.
