Do you get cold feet while skiing? When the weather gets cold your body slows the circulation to your extremities (hands and feet) to keep your core warm.

If you suffer from poor circulation, Diabetes or Raynauds Disease heated socks are an essential piece of kit. They are also ideal for instructors, race coaches or lifties who are standing around in the snow all day. Or if you like having warm feet!

These are battery packs for Therm-Ic's heated socks (sold separately).

The socks have electric heating elements built in to them to help keep your feet warm all day (depending on battery settings). Bluetooth-equipped batteries enable the Powersocks to be controlled by your smartphone. With 3 heat settings you can control the heat level via an app on your phone making it easy to set the heat level without having to roll up your pant leg to adjust them.

We have 2 battery packs available, the 700B and the 1400B. The main difference between the two is power. The 1400B has larger more powerful batteries that last longer, up to 16 hours vs 8 hours for the 700B. Both are Bluetooth equipped.

A wall charger is not included but can be charged using any USB charger using the supplied cable. Or a Therm-Ic Refresher  has a USB charger built in. Dry your boots and charge the heaters at the same time.

Care Instructions and Tips

The Powersock Battery packs have Lithium Ion batteries. Lithium Ion batteries work best when they are regularly charged and discharged. Remember to charge and discharge them a couple of times during the off season to maintain the life of the batteries. You can discharge them by plugging them into the socks and leave them running on the low setting. When storing the battery's put them away charged but not fully charged. The proper storage of your battery will help to maximise its life and strength.

The batteries have 3 heat settings, but at the highest setting they only last a few hours. To get the longest use out of them always start your day on the lowest setting, ski for a bit and turn them up as needed.

When you don't need the heat, turn them down or off. If you are in a gondola on the way up, or if you stop for lunch. You probably don't need them on while you are sipping on hot chocolate in the mountain bar.

For those that really suffer from cold feet and need extra power, you can top up the battery pack during the day. Take a pocket USB battery bank and the USB charging cable with you and plug the batteries in to charge when you stop for lunch. A 5v charger will put more power into the battery faster. We would recommend something like this one from BelkinA charge for the 1400b would normally take 3hrs to get from 0 to 75%, so this method would not add a lot, but 1 hour of charging could get you an extra hour or two on the medium setting.
